@stubb_farmsStubb Farms is a small, seasonal vegetable farm that my husband and I manage together. We grow fresh, healthy food for our neighbors and sell directly to them throughout the season. Our goal is to expand our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) because we believe in the power of local food—nurturing our community and reconnecting people with where their food comes from. Along with veggies, we raise chickens and sell fresh eggs. At Stubb Farms, we’re committed to regenerative and sustainable farming practices that heal our soil and promote long-term environmental health. It’s more than just growing food—it’s about changing consumer habits and making a positive impact on our local ecosystem, one harvest at a time!

Worked alongside eight full time crew members to grow, harvest, and deliver fresh, organic produce to the local community and neighboring cities. We worked 40 acres of land, broken up into eight different plots around the Island, growing a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, participating in all aspects of the farm from seeding to transplanting to harvesting and selling at the local farmer's market. In addition to produce, we tended to more than 700 laying hens, 150 turkeys, 3 steers, and 30 pigs.

Sold and educated customers about different types and cuts of meat produced from sustainable and humane ranches. Performed the daily tasks of maintaining the store front, processing transactions, and customer service. Worked weekly Farmer's Markets, setting up and breaking down the sales stand, maintaining stock, and interacting with customers.

Performed daily business and sale activities in a small wine, beer, and spirits specialty store such as customer service, sales, marketing, inventory, restocking, store events, and community outreach.

Work with a small team in assisting the winemaker with daily shipments of grapes, pump-overs, punch downs, cleaning, and other daily cellar operations, such as fermentation monitoring, tastings, and samplings.

Research, develop and organize new product ideas. Design and maintain experiments for the “ready-to-grow” products line. Communicate and maintain business relationships with clients and suppliers. Help perform the daily duties required by general business operation.

Led guests on 3 to 15 mile hikes in the Sierra Nevada Mountains 5-6 days a week. Provided constant customer service, served meals, performed camp-wide maintenance. Created a recycling program within the camp, educated campers and staffers on environmental issues.

Served as a rescue driver on underwater Sea Trek tours. Worked in the dive shop; sold, rented, and cleaned scuba diving equipment. Planned and organized diving trips for customers.
