Planning & implementing digital marketing strategies; devising & managing digital campaigns, projects and events (both the online and offline activity) including online competitions (giving young musicians the chance to perform at Glastonbury and other large scale festivals), online auctions, and interactive webcasts; day-to-day management of all Youth Music websites; overall management of a website redesign and migration to new CMS; day-to-day management & monitoring of social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube); producing reports on social media activity using social media monitoring tools); devising & managing social media campaigns; online community growth, management, moderation & engagement; online PR & reputation management across the whole web, protecting the Youth Music brand online; ensuring brand consistency across all digital communications; ensuring all web content is search engine optimised; managing PPC campaigns (Google Grant/Google Adwords); content commissioning, writing & editing for consistency of style & tone; ensuring websites are compliant with usability and accessibility guidelines; using Google Analytics extensively to monitor, analyse, and improve performance; reporting on website activity; using survey and click tracking tools (4q, Crazy Egg) to gain user feedback & analyse activity; devising & commissioning web development and new functionality based on organisational needs; developing & managing relationships with agencies, designers, developers, photographers, young people, and music industry; creating and managing e-newsletter broadcasts; designing banners and editing images for web using Photoshop; website content management and creation using a CMS (modX, Drupal), HTML and CSS; overall responsibility for digital/web budget; keeping up to date with developments within the industry & competitor activity; taking on responsibilities of the Digital Strategy Manager who left and was not replaced due to budgetary constraints.

Planning and co-ordinating logistics and events for major Youth Music initiatives (Build a Band, Origin8 & Youth Music Week) and digital campaigns; researching and writing copy for all Youth Music websites; liaising with web developers, photographers, and designers; uploading audio and video content; sourcing and resizing images; picture and copy editing for print and web; maintaining and mediating interactive campaign sites (Origin8, Build a Band, Underage Festival); campaign promotion; building Youth Music social networks on Myspace and Facebook; measuring and reporting impact of campaigns by analysis of web stats; increasing user traffic by promoting websites and new content; commissioning photographers and designers; responding to customer enquiries about website content and web problems; internal communication regarding websites; assisting the Executive Web Officer and Marketing team with the implementation of marketing & communications strategies.
