An industry expert with nearly 30 years’ corporate experience in the Telecommunication industry, Rachel Cliffe has held the role of Telstra Regional General Manager for the past 12 years. The Northern Qld area extends from just north of Bundaberg, across to the Northern Territory border and north to Torres Strait. Rachel fosters successful relationships with key business and stakeholders including Federal, State and Local government and regional groups representing health, education, and business sectors. She represents Telstra during times of natural disasters and has extensive public relations experience with many media and speaking engagements. Rachel is a member of Telstra’s CEO Enterprise Leadership team, has a Master of Business Administration Global with Distinction from James Cook University and has successfully completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Telstra Area Board training. Rachel chairs Jobs Townsville North Queensland (JTNQ). JTNQ is a Regional Jobs Committee, and its local programs of works are funded by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT). The purpose of Jobs Townsville North Queensland is to support jobs growth in a strategic manner resulting in the benefit of a stronger, more capable, and better skilled local labour pool that can positively impact the regional workforce, regardless of industry.
