As a Business Developer, I work to improve our organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. I define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. It is my job to work with the internal team, marketing staff, and other staff to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for our company. To achieve this, I find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business with them in the future. I also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive. My primary role is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. As you can see, my role is one that is both challenging and also rewarding! As a high school English and reading teacher, I had many responsibilities and roles in students and parents lives. I have taught all grades: 9-12. I coached four seasons of boys' and girls' volleyball and during that time I led my teams to win 3 tournaments. I built teamwork and trust with my colleagues as the freshmen team leader. Literacy is my specialty and I have conducted countless workshops for my colleagues about how to implement new strategies and techniques in order for students to learn more effectively and easily. I was also a member of the P.B.I.S. team where we promoted positivity and tried to make our school environment a safer, happier and more encouraging atmosphere. Helping to initiate RTI at my school was a passion of mine. I am an expert in British Literature, and I enjoyed creating hands on lesson plans while always using the latest technology. I really appreciated when students told me they loved engaging in class discussions, debates and group work. I am always open to suggestions about the hottest books to read!
