In this role, I oversaw the agency's systems alignment efforts with the State Department of Human Services, the WorkSource system, the Homeless Youth Continuum, Multnomah County's Anti-Poverty system, multiple school districts, and Early Learning Multnomah. I monitored, evaluated, and reported on the agency's progress in its five-year Strategic Operations Plan and supervised the staff responsible for the agency's annual reporting to HUD. The role also included leading a variety of efforts to address the agency's data collection and disaggregation policies to ensure that all programs were evaluated for equity and disparate impact.

In this role I designed a variety of initiatives for the agency to increase organizational efficiency or leverage agency funding with other systems serving low-income households. This included systems alignment work with the state Department of Human Services, Multnomah County, the local Workforce Investment Board, and local school districts.

Portland, Oregon Area

In this role, I designed, implemented and managed multiple county-wide rent assistance and rental guarantee programs with a budget of over $10 million in local, state, and federal funding. I oversaw all elements of granting/contracting funds to local non-profit organizations.

Washington, Dc

At Youth, I.N.C., I developed and managed all programming for this bi-coastal venture philanthropy organization which provides capacity building services for non-profit organizations serving youth. I provided consulting and technical assistance in fundraising and board development for a network of over 30 organizations annually and supervised additional staff and consultants who provided these services. With our Executive Director, I managed our 25 person, bi-coastal Board of Directors who each had a $100,000 annual fundraising requirement and built corporate partnerships to secure additional funding. I supervised a staff of 7-10, monitored the annual budget and approved all expenditures, oversaw all marketing and public relations efforts, and worked with a team to manage three annual fundraisers which raised $400,000-$1,000,000 each.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

At Everybody Wins! DC, I managed sites and staff for a school-based literacy and mentoring program serving 4000 children and 1500 volunteers in Title I public schools. In my role, I managed partnerships with multiple government agencies who provided volunteers, secured foundation grants, managed the agency's participation in the United Way/Combined Federal Campaign, and assisted with the design and implementation of a long-range program evaluation in conjunction with the US Department of Education.
