I would like to think of myself as a friendly, confident, and approachable individual. I am passionate about my studies in English Literature and have been accepted to begin research for a PhD at Lancaster University (commencing in October 2014). In addition to my interest in literature and reading in general, I am also in the process of redrafting my first completed novel. I can write creatively, but my course has trained me to write analytically and professionally, as well as providing me with ample opportunity to sharpen my proofreading and editing skills. I am capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and have developed excellent time management and organisational skills through the necessity of my juggling both my studies and various part time work. My part time work has included retail and sales, waitressing, bar work, teaching, and child supervision. I have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated both my reliability and my responsible attitude in all areas of my life.
