I was the lead TIG welder for the engineering physics department at Colorado School of Mines. I was involved in designing and fabricating parts and assemblies using Mills, Lathes, Bandsaws, Welders etc. Some projects include: exoskeleton , optics alignment equipment, electronic access hatch, lens mounts, battery support structure for EUSO payload.I am skilled in TIG Welding, Aluminum and Steel. Examples of my welding projectsinclude flight hardware for the EUSO payload, collimated mirror support structure, 2 dollies for moving the EUSO payload.I taught 150+ students welding processes, safety, and applications in a 6 week field session course during the Summer of 2016, 2017, 2018.I designed and fabricated a welding lathe for the shop use. Subassemblies for this project include: 3 jaw chuck, lathe frame, adjustable motor assembly.I completed CSM crane and rigging safety course.

I lead the TIG welding aluminum and steel projects for the EUSO collaboration under Dr. Lawrence Wiencke. I have welded most of the carts and exoskeleton that are being used on EUSO-SPB. Also, I've welded a stand for the collimated mirror from Marshall Space Flight Center that was used to characterize the EUSO-SPB optics with parallel light. I have had the privilege of traveling to various places. In Lamar, CO, I learned about the project and helped with some data acquisition. In Delta, UT I was on the laser campaign that is used to test the triggering of the detector and is used to determine the efficiency of the detector when it sees light. The lasers are used to simulate cosmic ray showers, just going the opposite direction. In Palestine, TX I assisted in preparing the instrument for hang tests at the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility and then packing all the equipment to be shipped to New Zealand. In Wanaka, New Zealand I am the representative from the Mines Mechanical Team and it is my job to reconstruct all the structures needed for flight and preflight testing as well as provide mechanical support for smaller projects including assembling and testing solar panels, washing lenses and making a heater for the PDM. I was apart of the launch team by being the main communication between the science team and the flight crew.
