My duties as the social chair are to plan and coordinate events for the sorority's members. I have planned sisterhood bonding nights, a parents' weekend tailgate, date socials, and formal events. Ultimately I have learned to prioritize tasks and develop ideas for events a large number of people, while staying organized and maintaining a balanced schedule.

As a legal intern, my largest responsibility was to implement a new vendor management software for the department. I learned how to use the software and upload files from the old database to the new one, as well as troubleshooting the software and making the transition as smooth as possible.During my time here I also reviewed Power of Attorney documents for credit union members and drafted documents for HELOC closings for Redstone Title Services. This allowed me to have a well-rounded experience in the legal department and learn more than I ever expected.

My responsibilities as a Records Management intern were to sort, label, and file title documents for credit union members. I also scanned and filed other important documents using the credit union's document retention software. I learned how to work in a very fast-paced environment that was hectic at times but overall very rewarding.

The Community Relations department is responsible for many community outreach events. During my time here, I worked on sponsorship requests from local schools and organizations, visited the Boys and Girls Club, completed a donation project for Title IX schools in the Tennessee Valley area, and attended a local summer day camp where I got to help teach the students about budgeting. These experiences helped to shape my passion for community outreach and financial education and taught me about a side of the credit union that I did not know I would love so much.
