As lifestyle editor at Grazia magazine, I am responsible for coverage of interiors, food and travel, writing, commissioning and editing stories for between six to eight pages of the magazine each fortnight.As part of this role, I also write the majority of the text, both in print and online, for the magazine's ongoing commercial partnership with DIY and home improvement retailer Wickes - results of the reader research after the first year found that 'Grazia readers enjoyed the partnership, finding the articles to be informative and giving women confidence to undertake DIY projects' and as a result, '90% of ABC1 Grazia readers would recommend Wickes to family/friends.'I also write for consumer magazines and newspapers including Sunday Times Style. I have also written on subjects as diverse as antiquarian books to the impact of virtual technology on the world of architecture for the luxury publication Christie's International Real Estate magazine. For Savills Portfolio I write on architecture and interior design. Ghost-writing: I write for Kevin Anderson & Associates as well as independently. The last book I wrote independently was highly praised for the quality of its writing, and acquired a publishing deal, with offers from a number of publishers.I am co-founder of Gillingham & Shaftesbury News, an online newspaper for my local area. Responsible for ensuring that ELLE Decoration was the most beautiful, inspirational and trend-setting interiors magazine in the country. Was responsible for editorial strategy, as well as influencing marketing, advertising and subscription strategies, liaising closely with all three departments. Headed an editorial team of 13 people.
