Undertaking research in medical gerontology, under the supervision of Consultant Gerontologist Dr Robert Briggs, into the association between blood pressure instability and falls in older adults. Previous research with the same team in the areas of depression/loneliness in hospitalised patients in specialised geriatric units, and the impact of delayed discharge due to lack of available home care packages/supports on patient health and wellbeing.

Fully proficient in all front-of-house aspects of a busy family dental practice, from booking patients for routine treatment to taking histories over the phone from patients who need urgent care. I have also been trained to assist as a dental nurse for nearly all general dental care, including extractions, restorative procedures, and preventative care, in addition to dental charting.

Experienced box office staff member, having worked in a busy theatre for a number of years until the Covid pandemic began in Ireland in March 2020. I was often the most senior person working in the box office on show nights, and greatly enjoyed working in the fast-paced, pressurised environment. Other duties included general day-to-day box office activities, such as taking bookings, advising patrons on upcoming performances, and dealing with issues requiring rebooking or refunds.

I provided cover for the permanent Front of House Manager in the theatre, taking on the role of Front of House Manager quite regularly for a variety of show types, from school performances, to matinees, to sold out evening performances. Duties included leading a large team of ushers, liaising with technical staff, working with other staff to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, greeting patrons on arrival, and organising and overseeing safe and calm access and egress.

Assisting with the smooth running of classes in a large stage school, teaching younger children the basics of performing arts and musical theatre, and performing backstage duties during the annual end of year performance in the Watergate Theatre, Kilkenny.Particular interests included helping nervous children acclimatise to their new environment in order to allow them to fully benefit from the experience, both socially and artistically.
