- Coupled ensemble weather forecasts with hydrologic modeling resulting in 2-week predictions of hydrologic conditions and their estimated impact on crop yields for informed decision making.- Solved data gap problems using a combination of publicly available data and spatial aggregation via ArcGIS and Java programming resulting in increased accuracy of modeled crop yields.- Developed a methodology to quantify crop- and location-specific drought and used automated processes to analyze large quantities of data leading to three publications, one of which received an award- Identified weaknesses in methods including using gauge versus radar weather data when predicting hydrologic conditions and crop yields.
