My passion project is helping individuals from all walks of life become the best version of themselves through volunteer work and clubs I participate in. Some organizations that I have been a part of are Badger Volunteers, Badgers with a Heart, the Aspiring Nurses Association and VIDA volunteers. All these organizations have a strong sense of giving back to the community not only in Madison but throughout the world. One of my favorite experiences of my college career was though a medical mission trip with VIDA volunteers. I was very fortunate to have been allowed to go on a trip with 30 of my peers to Nicaragua and Costa Rica for two weeks to give medical attention to the people of multiple different underserved communities in the countries. This is an experience I will never forget and I think this was the moment that solidified that I wanted to become a Nurse Practitioner.I know that as a future Practitioner, I will be able to live out this passion every day when I go to work. This drives my motivation for excellence in not only my academics but in every aspect of my life as well.
