Established a new Project Management Office, including the design and implementation of project governance processes, tools and procedures from scratch. Supported the delivery of 5 transformation projects within agreed scope, time cost and quality. Delivered the day to day project management of a multi- disciplinary team providing outline design of a £18 million tidal flood alleviation scheme to protect 8000 at risk properties. • Translated & realised client requirements into a working technical design. • Built scheme buy-in and consensus on outcomes through intensive engagement and communication with over 30 stakeholders. • Managed of task allocation and resources for multiple teams across several disciplines and locations for successful completion of deliverables.

Led a multidisciplinary team to deliver technical design of a £3.8 million wastewater flood alleviation scheme to reduce risk of residential basement flooding from feasibility to tender design. • Outline to tender design of 12 sites, utilised a creative approach to problem solving and an analytical approach to decision making. Required significant collaboration with wider team and client to ensure an integrated solution. • Managed high-quality delivery of all outputs in a common working environment using BIM to industry standards (PAS 1192) and application of rigorous Quality Assurance processes.• Optimised the technical solution to realise opportunities through consideration of client drivers including cost, schedule, health & safety and community disruption, resulted in a saving of £1million whilst delivering required regulatory outputs.As a Project Manager, I managed the delivery of a portfolio of projects under a six-year consultancy services framework (NEC3), including feasibility studies and options appraisals to support capital works. The role involved:• Coordinating input to business development and fee proposals for specific projects.• Day to day management of individual projects, including: resources, governance, planning, financial, contractual, change control and quality assurance.• Monthly project control meetings with Project Director to review: project delivery, business risk assessments, budgets and profit, schedules, client satisfaction, as well as communicating issues and lessons learned for overall framework.• Regular client engagement providing updates, raising issues and building a trusted relationship.

Surface Water Flood Alleviation I provided ad hoc technical and project support services on a part time secondment basis to aid the client in assuming new responsibilities as the Lead Local Flood Authority on seven alleviation schemes. This role involved:• Engagement with local stakeholders to understand concerns, issues and manage relationships.• Procurement of CCTV and flow monitoring surveys including drafting terms of contract and specification of works and management of appointed sub-contractor.• Liaison with other client teams including legal and operations to facilitate delivery of required surveys.• Working with the client team to prioritise schemes for the most effective use of available resources and budgets.Developer Services Outline & Detailed Design I carried out the civil design for residential and commercial developments sewerage infrastructure improvements to Sewers for Adoption and client standards. Responsible for:• Design of new connections to existing network while maintaining network performance at sewer overflows• Management of team resources to produce options appraisal and outputs including scheme drawings, environmental report, design report and health & safety risk register.• Administration of sub-contractor contract including programming of works, review of supplier outputs and payment approval. Direct liaison with developer, client and contractor to understand different design requirements.

Flood Alleviation Scheme Detailed Design I provided technical input to the detailed design of a flood alleviation scheme to protect twelve properties affected by fluvial flooding. I worked closely with the contractor to develop a viable scheme taking into account the constraints of the site, in particular the design and specification of a pumping system that adheres to Eel Regulations 2009 and land access issues and HV cables. I was responsible for preparation of scheme drawings, specification and coordinating input from mechanical and electrical disciplines for the scheme design output.Property Level Flood Protection As the project engineer I delivered property level flood alleviation measures to two communities experiencing flood risk from combined fluvial and surface water sources. Responsible for stakeholder engagement, including public consultation, funding calculations and sub-consultant management.

As a graduate engineer I contributed to numerous flood risk assessments, the update of a coastal strategy and input to the design of a coastal flood alleviation scheme.

I volunteered with two other engineers for six months in South West Cameroon with a local NGO. I worked on water supply projects for rural communities. I helped form a local water committee to empower the local community to take ownership of the project and encourage accountability. Through community workshops I also identified end user needs which shaped the proposed design solutions.
