My role also involves utilizing multimodal techniques and arts activities adaptable to individuals experiencing ASD and other disabilities, mental illnesses, and emotional issues. Key Projects:• Designed customized, one-on-one expressive arts therapy activities for children and youth to meet the unique individual needs of clients experiencing varying degrees of autism.• Developed and facilitated a Creative Social Group for six children aged 8-10 with ASD, which involved recruiting a team of 2 volunteers and a Behaviour Interventionist, as well as leading the sessions to successfully engage the children in activities and organizing a gallery event for families to attend and view the artwork. • Co-created and facilitated an Expressive Arts Therapy group for women undergoing various life transformations such as grief and recovery from illness, which provided a supportive environment to work through emotional experiences. • Delivered a Sensory Awareness Workshop for Arts Umbrella to increase staff awareness about sensory overload and understand the experience of students with ASD in the classroom.
