As a Project Intern at American Battlefield Trust, I conduct research to identify and present relevant sites and histories related to the Road to Freedom, a virtual platform that showcases the stories of African Americans during the Civil War. I also handle the digitization of images and primary sources to enhance the online experience for the audience.I graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a degree in History and a minor in Gender and Ethnicity Studies in May 2023. I was actively involved in campus organizations such as Civic Engagement, History Scholars Club, and the Honors Program, where I contributed to various projects and events that promoted social justice, diversity, and historical awareness. My core competencies include content creation, content planning, and editorial skills, which I acquired through my coursework, certifications, and internships. My goal is to pursue a Master's Degree in Public History and continue to share my passion for African American History, Education, and Archival Studies.
