Vice President Operational Excellence - Upmc Physician Services
CurrentLeads vision, strategy, and execution for multiple facets of health system clinical operations as a member of the core physician leadership team, with a focus on building strategies, systems and tools utilizing best practices to deliver high value care. Valued as a top contributor with a proven ability to execute, with exceptional skills in communications, conflict resolution, and negotiations. Develops and strengthens relationships with employees, physicians, customers, and the executive leaders of healthcare systems. Collaborates with the Chief Quality and Operational Excellence Officer to identify opportunities to optimize care design and delivery, meeting and surpassing goals for clinical and service quality. As Medical Director of Capacity Management, MedCall, directs capacity management, regionalization, and issue resolution. Manages relationships with MedCall partners outside of the organization. In the role of Chief Medical Officer of the ICU Service Center, collaborated with clinical leaders to coordinate the organization’s critical care services. As an Intensivist, provides care for critically-ill patients in the UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital, a 335-bed non-profit, full service specialty facility. Since 2019, also serves as an Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Recognized with the UPMC Physician Excellence in Leadership Award in 2021.
