I supervised 2nd- and 3rd-grade students on their field trips and ensured their safety. For the following summers, my role transitioned to a Classroom Instructor. My role was similar to what I did as an ESP. In addition to those responsibilities, I created a program filled with activities that meet the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of the children. I motivated students to build confidence in their mathematical abilities while ensuring a positive demeanor. I planned and taught a three-week mathematics unit on algebraic expressions, and a culminating activity they completed was to create a rap, song, chant, slogan, etc. to an algebraic property of their choice.
