I manage proposal responses for request for qualifications (RFQs), request for proposals (RFPs), including writing, editing, and compliance for clients such as United States Army Corp of Engineers and departments of transportation (DOTs). This included project managing the proposal lifecycle, including communicating cross-functionally to complete proposal responses. Other responsibilities outside of proposals include updating CRM platform with company information, developing and designing brochures, fact sheets, and presentations, and update and add website content using Wordpress. In addition, I facilitate cross-functional company-wide proposal and marketing managers company for best practices, process improvements, and shared proposal and marketing content; as well as managing the completion of a company-wide proposal management manual. I also track and analyze win/losses to understand bid trends. For company-wide communications, I developed and manage monthly internal employee Lunch & Learns, and manage bi-monthly CEO’s All Hands address to employees.

In this role, I researched and tracked Colorado bid opportunities as well as scheduled and attended all client meeting debriefs. I managed proposal responses for RFQs and RFPs for clients such as the Colorado Department of Transportation. Often these proposals had strict deadlines and ranged in value from $11 million to $150 million. I also managed the proposal process from beginning to end including leading cross-functional teams through color reviews, scheduling proposal milestones, and interviewing subject matter experts for proposal content and graphics.

As Proposal Manager, I respond to Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals. My responsibilities include writing proposal sections, coordinating and leading meetings, and working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on developing technical content for our proposals. I follow the Shipley and APMP processes to include conducting pink, red, and gold team reviews. I have complete updating our SharePoint site templates for our proposals. In addition, I led a team of five proposal professionals on a $1.2 billion project in Colorado which received the highest technical proposal score for this pursuit. I also conduct various other duties to include assisting in preparing the division newsletter, writing award submissions, and coordinating for industry events. I have grown as an individual and a professional in the time that I have been here and I look forward to continuing my growth and knowledge.

I have worked up through several promotions over the past 5 years. I started out in the Mailroom preparing shipments and mail, while also updating a database of employees phone numbers and locations. I also allocated charges for billing purposes. After this position I was able to move into our Business Development department, as a desktop publisher, in which I prepared documents for customer evaluations. From that position I accepted a higher level within the same job category which entailed taking on more responsibilities. I was able to take on complex projects and meet/exceed requirements before or on the set deadline. I also performed various general office duties and our internal site administrative responsibilities. In my newest position as a Proposal Analyst I have welcomed more responsibilities and involvement with our various projects. I enjoy learning the new aspects of this position and the ability to start working to develop the project material.
