Out of high school I studied hair and aesthetics at the Hair Academy in Red Deer Alberta. I worked at Fantasy Hair Design as an apprentice and then continued working at Fantasy Design as a licensed hair stylist once my apprenticeship was complete. While attending hair school I worked at Glenn’s restaurant and continued working there while working at the salon. Glenn’s restaurant gave me the opportunity to become a manager; I left hairdressing to manage Glenn’s Restaurant and continued doing so for 5 years. I worked at Glenn’s restaurant for a total of eight years. After eight years of employment with Glenn’s Restaurant I decided to take a break from work to raise my two children. When both of my kids were in school I began working as a medical office assistant. I worked at the Neurology Clinic in Red Deer for four years. After four years of being an MOA I knew I needed more, I decided to pursue my passion. I went back to school to study Media Studies and Professional Communications. I enjoyed the program at RDC and found employment through my practicum.I worked at Chatters LTD. Partnership for close to two years to help build marketing skills for todays fast paced digital market. While working at Chatters I found a love for graphic design. I have just started online education with Centre for Distance Education to expand my marketing career and earn a graphic design diploma within the year.
