As a bioinformatician at the University of Pennsylvania, I apply my skills and knowledge in bioinformatics and computer programming to analyze biological data for various research projects, such as vaccine and drug development, horizontal gene transfer, and phage-bacteria interactions. I have experience with using various genomic data collecting tools, such as Ensembl, BLAST, MEGA, DAVID, etc., and I can manipulate data sets like lists, tuples, and dictionaries within Python and R. I also have experience with SQL and database management systems. In addition to that, I am versed in HTML and CSS.I completed my graduate education at the University of Maine's online PSM in Bioinformatics program, where I learned the principles and applications of bioinformatics, statistical analysis, experimental design, and programming. I also have a bachelor's degree in biology from Cabrini University, where I developed a strong foundation in biological sciences. My goal is to use my bioinformatics and Python skills to contribute to the advancement of biomedical research and innovation, and to collaborate with other researchers and professionals in the field.
