I graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in English Education. I recently received my Oklahoma teaching certification for grades 5-12 in English Language Arts. I am passionate about reading and writing, and I want to help students gain a deeper appreciation for English.I was awarded the Geraldine Burns Award in 2022, and this is the nomination that I received from my professor, Dr. Montgomery: "An English Education major at Oklahoma Christian University, Rachel Tuttle is the recipient of many academic honors. She has received the President's Scholarship as well as the Rose Taylor Scholarship, and she has made the President's List four times. In addition to these honors, she is active in honor societies on campus: Rachel is Vice President of the Rho Mu chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the National English Honor Society, and she recently joined Alpha Chi. These achievements are the result of hard work she has performed inside and outside the classroom.
