Two UN processes – the UNFCCC climate negotiations and the post-2015 sustainable development agenda – culminate within months of each other. Successful outcomes from both these processes will make a real difference to the future of our people and our planet. Getting great World Goals agreed by world leadersFrom January to September 2015 Project Everyone and partners will focus on mass public engagement and mobilisation through the creative use of digital and traditional media, events and content. In doing so we will create a movement to put pressure on world leaders. Ensuring that when leaders meet in September 2015 they make the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), visionary goals, which sets the right course towards 2030.Ensuring the world knows about the new World Goals: Project Everyone In September 2015 Project Everyone will make these newly agreed goals “famous” once they’ve been formally adopted. The plan is to make an unprecedented, historic effort to try to get the goals, in a very concise form, to 7 billion people in 7 days. So by 1 October 2015 the world is aware of the goals and what they mean. A famous document with real popular support will be a better document and that document will be more effective if millions of people demand it is enacted. Show less -
