I have been interested in engineering since the beginning of my high school career. I enrolled in the Tesla Engineering Charter School in Appleton, WI because of this interest, and through the Digital Electronics course they offer there, I found a love for electrical engineering. This love brought me to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my courses and time at the university. I specifically have discovered a passion for the analog electronics courses, such as my most recent course, Analog IC Design. Yet, beyond the STEM subjects and concepts, I really enjoy being a well-rounded individual, which is why I have added a Leadership minor to my course-load; this minor offers me a completely different atmosphere where the goal is understand what type of leader you are and how to use your strengths to the best of your ability. The minor also teaches you how to consciously keep your mind open to listen and explore new perspectives. This is something I believe everyone should participate in, at least once, because of how much you learn about yourself, leadership, working with other people, and how much it is directly applicable to future jobs and life itself.
