In addition to serving in a consulting capacity with new agency contacts on the state housing conference, my main focus has shifted to maintaining and growing THDA's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. I established our Instagram account and have seen engagement and followers for all three grow since taking them on. I also handle all aspects of our two agency websites including training and providing tech support to our sub-administrators, approving and making all updates, communicating changes and tech support needs to the developer, and maintaining and ensuring design consistency. As part of my internal communications responsibilities, I maintain and provide content for the agency intranet, as well as creating the weekly agency newsletter.

In addition to current responsibilities I am now taking on much more event planning, having received a CGMP (Certified Government Meeting Planner) certification, as well as completing more research and helping to pitch new marketing and advertising strategies for our programs. I am also a point person for our the new CRM program and will help divisions learn it, live it, and love it. Or at least learn it. New responsibilities include being involved in the hiring process for new Public Affairs employees and handling the scheduling and issues for the front desk. Last year I pushed to move us from an outdated internal database for public communications to an outside host, increasing customer service and professional look for outgoing public email. I am currently working on creating some training videos for internal use.

The Public Affairs Division works with outside companies (like realtors and banks) to promote the company's mission, and with the general public to promote THDA's services. As the Admin for Public Affairs, I do a wide variety of things from handling promotional items and "swag," to keeping financial transactions flowing and accounted for. I work with the other members of the division to create new ways to market THDA, I track sponsorship dollars, and I work with newspapers all over the state to publicize our programs, as well as more typical things you would expect from an Admin, planning events, assisting with travel, putting out fires and always having gum or breath mints. I also talk with members of the public who call in looking for help with their housing issues, sometimes making recommendations for them to pursue, sometimes helping shepherd them through the process.

I have been a student and actor with Actors Bridge almost since its beginning in 1995, serving as a Board member for fifteen years while also performing with the company as an actor and directing shows. One of my favorite aspects of Actors Bridge is the Act Like a Grrrl summer program for which I have served as a past co-leader and continue to cheer and support.

Wrote scripts, cast talent, scheduled video shoots and product deadlines, oversaw filming, chose edits, gathered bids, budgeted, assisted with design of packaging, communicated with marketing and outside authors, wrote and/or edited freelanced work on training manuals, and trained customer service on final product. Managed production of all books, videos and audio conferences for the company.

Responsibilities included scheduling, budgeting, communicating with and helping departments meet deadlines, working with marketing and customer service to sell new products, coming up with new product ideas, researching competition, making product pitches, registering new product for copyright, communicating with outside authors and freelance writers and designers, getting bids for product packaging and facilitating outside production and shipment of product.

Managed payroll and Human Resource functions in Nashville office, created and updated weekly reports using Excel, tracked and researched expenditures, created expense reports, answered phones, reported payroll, researched ISBNs and product descriptions for use on the company website Booksamillion.com, processed new hire paperwork, updated the website with reviews and detailed product information.

Created weekly ads for newspaper and other advertising outlets to recruit for available jobs, organized company booth at job fairs, spoke publicly at recruitment centers, assisted with testing and computer training for newly registered clients, processed applicant paperwork, trained new applicants, helped plan and organize company's 10th anniversary celebration.
