Transcribed information into an occurrence reporting system that was dictated by police officers in order to free up police officers for frontline work. Used the data to complete other relevant tasks with total confidentiality, including linking property, persons and addresses; creating court briefs; and generating uniform crime reports.

Identified novel mutations and molecular diagnoses for patients with choroideremia, an ocular disorder. These patients are looking to be enrolled in Canada’s first gene therapy trial conducted by my supervisor, Dr. Ian M MacDonald. Performed PCR analysis, Western blot analysis, Sanger Sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis.
