About Rachel Samuelson
I had an epiphany sitting in the backyard at my host family's house in Costa Rica while studying abroad in college - I didn't know what jobs I would have, but whatever I did, it would be rooted in actionable love for others. Following my skills and passion for student leadership and social justice, I went on to get my Master's degree in higher education administration and spent over 10 years working in student affairs and leadership programming at Washington State University Vancouver and Portland State University. My specialties included student leadership development, student spiritual development at public institutions and socially just community engagement and service learning. I taught both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Simultaneously, while my partner was deployed for 9 months with the US Coast Guard, I became an Independent Beachbody Coach in order to lead by example and prioritize my physical and mental wellness. I found that I was most motivated to prioritize my wellness while in community with others so I founded United Virtual Fit Club in October 2015. To date I have recruited and supported over 700 customers and coaches. I was able to fine-tune my social media marketing skills and hone in engaging content creation to meet my goals of growing and nurturing my community. Seeing that I could generate income from coaching independently while also remaining true to my mission of actionable love for others, I left higher education in 2018 so my partner could pursue his Coast Guard career in another state. Working part-time from home has allowed me the flexibility to continue to develop personally and professionally while serving others and has allowed me to spend time with my 3 young daughters.Outside of work hours you'll find me on-the-go with my girls playing in the sprinklers or pool, immersed in crafts, library visits, hikes, beach trips and walks with our dog, ballet or soccer practices and swim lessons, to name a few.
Listed skills include Higher Education, Program Development, Leadership, Public Speaking, and 25 others.
