From Schematic Design to Construction Administration, I designed and managed residential and commercial projects. I worked closely with clients, engineers, and contractors to create beautiful, well-loved places. + Integrated sustainable design strategies and delightful details into residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.+ Worked across all stages of the design process, from initial client meetings to project delivery.+ Collaborated on analysis, design, coordination, documentation, and delivery with co-workers, engineers, consultants, clients, and contractors. + Managed projects including JNB Trucking Headquarters, Space Eugene Music Studios, Turtle Creek Housing, the Prospect Residence, and the award-winning River Road Residence. + Supported studio organization, marketing, and management, including proposal editing, website creation, and Revit implementation.

In my brief time at the Urban Collaborative, I helped lead collaborative planning workshops and prepare feasibility reports for several locations. I also created construction documents and coordinated the Passive House, LEED, and Net Zero efforts for a private residence.

I assisted with a USGBC Grant to create interview-based case studies of the integrated design process on 5 LEED buildings. Our team conducted video interviews with these projects' owners, architects, contractors, engineers, facilities managers, and consultants, and developed educational materials from our footage.

In my final year of grad school, I served as the administrative director of the Ecologcial Design Center at the University of Oregon, a student group that educates University of Oregon design students to lead the community toward sustainability. Before I took on the administrative directorship, I worked as the curriculum coordinator, implementing the new Ecological Design Certificate and starting the Top Ten Green Studio Projects Competition.

I began working for GMA as a practicum student during the spring term of 2008, and continued as an intern architect over the summer. I managed the schedule, drawing set, and code and product research for a residence, and produced materials boards, hand-drafted drawings, and AutoCAD drawings for five additional projects. I attended site visits, client meetings, and meetings with consultants.

During my studies at Oregon, I taught graduate and undergraduate students in Environmental Control Systems and Architectural Context classes.

I worked at BuildingGreeen directly after graduating from Oberlin College. There, I added projects to the High Performance Buildings Database, wrote short articles for Environmental Building News, and checked that products were still suitable for inclusion in the GreenSpec product directory. I also took on other small-scale projects.
