This involved writing spotlight stories highlighting successful use of HIE; producing short informational videos providing overviews of the Mass HIway and available services; graphics to provide visual aids for the Mass HIway website to assist providers in implementing and utilizing digital health information exchange; and managing the development and dissemination of Mass HIway notices, announcements, and newsletters to 1000+ healthcare personnel across the state.

Wrote program communications materials for two stroke-related interventions in Flint, Michigan, including preparing brochures, flyers, and storyboards for comic books and videos, used to disseminate health information to 1,000 participants.Conducted research on stroke and hypertension for the program in preparation to launch two interventions in Flint, Michigan. Drafted literature reviews and reports on best practices for rolling out interventions to ensure successful launch.

Kigali, Rwanda

Conducted qualitative interviews with organization volunteers to collect information on successes and areas that need further improvement. Executed a program evaluation using the information gathered from interviews, along with additional research, to provide suggestions of new programs and activities to implement to improve services offered to the community. Based on this evaluation, designed a data tracking tool using a mobile application that would not require constant cell service or internet access, allowing over 100 program volunteers to compile information gathered while in their communities, which would then upload once the phone connected to a network, being sent to BCIEA automatically.

Rochester, Ny

Managed marketing and logistics to host a workshop for 30+ regional aid organization staff, providing opportunities for staff to develop skills like motivational interviewing with the aim of better assisting the community in accessing available resources in upstate New York. Designed an online educational training tool to assist low income individuals in applying for SNAP benefits and understanding how to maintain a healthy diet while on a budget.

Eldon, Mo

Organized, planned, and executed wellness projects and health-related community events for 1,950 children and 5,000 community members, contributing to achieving the program goal of increasing physical activity and decrease obesity by five percent in the community within a five year period. Wrote and obtained grants for wellness programs with focuses on implementing projects such as improving playgrounds and scaling up current breakfast programs in schools in order to reach the program goal. Compiled and disseminated monthly newsletters to teachers at the elementary and middle schools, providing healthy tips and recipes, ideas for implementing non-food-based rewards in classrooms, and related school news.

Directed, shot, and edited a short documentary on the history of a local food pantry in Western Massachusetts, highlighting a unique journey from idea to established pantry, to increase awareness of the nonprofit in order to attract new donors. Conceptualized storyboards and project pitches for potential video projects; directed, shot, and edited videos to promote organizations, increase awareness, and encourage healthy behavior change.
