Set the stage for growth following an earlier 3-year, 5% - 10% decline, as an integral member of a newly appointed Design team charged with leading a seismic shift from the company’s legacy cost-driven model to a design & merchandising-centric model.As Denim Design Manager for Boys & Girls, I was charged with driving fast fashion agenda forward, with intent to become more nimble and up-level design, fabrics, and washes while maintaining affordability. • Grew the Basic Denim program from 18M to 26M units by re-engineering ~ 60% of category product.• Boosted the fashion side of the business by putting key initiatives quickly improve sales and profitability: -Bolstered Girls Fashion Denim and Jeggings programs +300% by shifting to a 40%-60% stretch and recovery fabric and securing approval for a $.15 product investment which enabled a $8 increase at retail price. -Moved the Boys Basics program forward to remain on trend. Achieved a 16 up to 30% average sell through within first year (up from 5 - 6% average). -Played an integral role as part of a small, 5-member team, generating a large volume of output often associated with larger design teams of 15-20. -Repeatedly met ambitious delivery dates, producing deliveries each month over 12 months. -Shortened lead-time by 50% to get product into the store leading the implementation of new programs. -Maximized core denim qualities and enabled quick infusion of new washes. Spearheaded development of the first denim wash library consisting of 200 washes 8 fabrics, allowing division to purchase and hold at optimal prices. -Improved bottom fit consistency throughout the casual bottoms department. Led the update, and created 9 bottom fit blocks that saved substantial time in the fit process and allowed for a set group of packaging to be used. -Reinvented the denim replenishment program.
