The Center for Nonprofit Management is Southern California’s go-to resource for nonprofit management assistance. CNM provides training, consulting, and resources to help nonprofits reach their mission goals more efficiently and effectively. As Resource Manager, I am responsible for creating content that covers best practices and provides insight on ways for nonprofit professionals to apply them at their organization. In addition, I work to build an engaged community of lifelong learners through our membership, social media, and collateral. While marketing makes up 90% of what I do, I also oversee projects like Jobscoop, our nonprofit jobs board, and the annual 501(c)onference, as well as participate in the creation and launch of products like the 2 Minute Answer Guide and Online University.

Re-designed the benefits package for CNM members, actively engaged lapsed members, and marketed to new members resulting in an overall membership increase of 120% in one year. Oversaw all logistics, communication, and marketing efforts of the inaugural 501(c)onference including relationships with sponsors, vendors, presenters, attendees, and volunteers.Identified additional income opportunity for CNM and wrote a successful $100,000 grant proposal for remodeling our jobs website (JobScoop). Assisted in the organization’s fundraising efforts by conducting prospect research and drafting proposals.

Booktrope is a unique publisher that uses a co-op model to get book from first draft to final sale. I have worked as an editor on a handful of novels. I check for accuracy, consistency, and proof grammar and spelling. While I don't do re-writes of the text, I do make note of when I'm pulled out of the story in an effort to help the author create a narrative that sucks the reader in and keeps them invested.

In my role as Executive Assistant, I drafted and edited materials including client proposals, letters of agreement, general correspondence, eblasts, budgets, website copy, and other collateral.
