Rachel Cargle is a public academic, writer, and lecturer. Her activist and academic work are rooted in providing intellectual discourse, tools, and resources that explore the intersection of race and womanhood. Her social media platforms boast a community of over 1.9 Million where Rachel guides conversations, encourages critical thinking and nurtures meaningful engagement with people all over the world.Pursuing a radical alternative to traditional higher education Rachel is an academic who, through independent study with esteemed scholars and public lecturing in non traditional spaces is invested in decolonizing intellect and making critical learning more expected and accessible. She left her studies at Columbia University in the fall of 2019. Her foundation, The Loveland Foundation, was created in 2018 piloted with a project called The Loveland Therapy Fund For Black Women And Girls where Rachel raised over $250,000 which was distributed to over 300 black women and girls to apply towards their access to private therapy sessions. The Loveland Foundation continues to expand with the development of unique programming in support of the empowerment of the black community.
