I am a psychologist with particular expertise in health psychology. I am interested in the impact of long-term conditions on primary care services and individuals' quality of life, looking at biopsychosocial models and how these may be applied to improve self-management strategies of these conditions.My PhD explored beliefs, attitudes, and behavioural intentions towards long-term antidepressant use for people with depression in primary care. I have worked within the Primary Care Research Centre (Faculty of Medicine) at the University of Southampton since 2012. I have worked on various trials, as a trial manager and researcher. I am refining my research focus towards depression in primary care.I predominantly use qualitative research methods in my work and I am the co-lead on the Qualitative Research Methods in Public Health module for the MSc in Public Health at the University of Southampton.
