I have a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and I currently teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Human Anatomy & Physiology. My experience as an educator also includes time as an adjunct for a local community and technical college. Additionally, my participation in the education process includes serving on Leadership team, acting as Curriculum Coach and conducting Instructional Practices Inventories as a Master Teacher for our county. I have been recognized as local Teacher of the Year, was the 2018 NABT Outstanding Biology Teacher for WV, and a 2021 PAEMST finalist. I am also a member of NSTA and WVSTA and have shared how to “Frame Your Success in the Science Classroom” and "ACES in the Science Classroom". I am interested in furthering my own knowledge of science and STEM education, spreading the word about ACES/CONNECTIONS MATTER and how traumatic events affect how students behave and learn. Other passions include singing, reading, dancing, family, and spending time at the beach.
