Software based internship using Python for mapping physical and virtual space for image directed mechanical tissue testing.

Reporting to the Project Manager (PM), the primary role of this position is to assist the Project Manager. As a PM Assistant I assisted with management of schedules, budgets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates are communicated, understood, and executed. Actively participated and facilitated daily scrum meetings, weekly sprint planning and retrospectives. Utilized Jira for team management and Trello for internal projects. Familiar with using and demo-ing the Oculus Rift and Microsoft HoloLens.

Part of team that created product prototypes mainly in the AR/VR space using Unity 3D. Devices used include HoloLens, Vive, Oculus, and iPad. Experience demoing, using, and developing with various XR devices. Created Kanban board for team to use, and was in charge of educating team on Agile methodology. Actively participated in scrum and sprint planning.

Setting up events for varying events and sizes. Working as a team and constant communication between individuals to ensure a flawless event. High attention to detail, quality control as well as time management are extremely important for setting up events.

Key skills to succeeding in this position was prioritization of tasks, working under deadlines, strict attention to detail, adhering to procedures, and working under pressure. Gathering client information, and preparing client files for analysis. This included contacting fund companies, clients, and insurance firms via email and phone. General office duties such as scanning, mail, ordering supplies, contacting companies to fix equipment, ensuring the office is presentable to clients, ordering kitchen items, etc. I was also the first point of contact upon client arrival.

Working as a team, as well as independently, to ensure the best customer experience while shopping at Urban Outfitters. This included cleaning, organizing and stocking the store before, after and during opening hours as well as speaking with customers in order to find out if they are in need of assistance. Striving for a welcoming atmosphere was key at Urban Outfitters. At the registers, being the last point of customer interaction, it was vital to answer any last minute questions, inform customers of return policies, as well as stay updated on sales, promotions and events. Being the last point of contact for most customers, it was important to be prompt, polite and provide an overall pleasant experience.
