Senior Human Resources Generalist
Current- Responsible for managing all HR operations and strategies for the following departments consisting of ~ 900 employees: Engineering, Water, Solid Waste, Events Services, Police, and Fire Department.
- Provide guidance to directors and supervisors on company policies and employment regulations. Coach city leadership on performance management including disciplinary and corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice to leadership on creating department-specific policies and role-specific operating procedures. Develop and implement staffing strategies that maximize efficiency.
- Evaluate HR strategies to determine areas of improvement. Develop and implement process enhancements.
- Analyze recruiting/sourcing process to develop efficiencies and improve quality of candidate selection. Produce retention results that improve business efficiencies and recruiting costs.
- Partner with 50+ recruiters and professionals at various universities and workforce job fairs; collaborate with hiring managers to prepare and modify job descriptions to accommodate the hiring manager’s needs.
