OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is a 254-bed tertiary care facility located in Rockford, Illinois that serves as a regional medical center in northern Illinois.Accomplishments:-Expanded the hospital medicine service from a single physician program to a nine physician program with 24/7 coverage-Increased penetration of the hospital medicine program from 5% to 30% of Internal Medicine patients-Established and maintained relationships with the primary care physicians and the subspecialty physicians in the community and increased referrals into the program-Decreased length of stay and cost per case for the 20 DRGs most commonly seen by the hospitalist service.-Established an FCCS course at SAMC and initiated a process to have all the hospitalists become trained as instructors (in order to meet Leap Frog criteria)- Actively participated and helped lead the teams that implemented a Rapid Response Team at the hospital and earned the hospital designation as a Certified Chest Pain Center
