Calgary Homeless Foundation guides the fight against homelessness in Calgary.We advise governments, service providers, and community leaders on how to best leverage their combined resources and programs in a unified fight against homelessness.Together, we envision the day when homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring - and perhaps an episode in someone’s life, but never a condition that defines it.Contributions as HMIS Support Specialist:(HMIS = Homeless Management Information System)- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to implement and train HMIS to prospective service providers. - Identify, source and coordinate training opportunities across all supported service providers.- Create, review, and revise engaging blend of training content/materials to serve a diverse audience.- Facilitate training (virtual & in-person) as required (1-on-1 or groups up to 30 people).- Provide support to 900+ HMIS Users in software administration, data quality, reporting, privacy and security practices via remote help desk.

I believe in 'lead by example' so I recruited a team of co-workers to train, fundraise and complete the ride ourselves. Our small team from Calgary raised $10,000 and joined 5000 riders on a journey from Toronto to Niagara Falls collectively raising $17.5 million dollars for the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
