I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work. Currently, I work for North Suffolk Community Services (formerly North Suffolk Mental Health Association) as a Clinical Coordinator on an Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) team. In this role, I work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and caseworkers alongside the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. ACCS serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness who meet the threshold of care for DMH services. From January to July 2022, I worked for Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) at Sargent House as an in-house clinician for young adult men who are transitioning out of DCF services. Unfortunately, in July 2022, Sargent House permanently closed. Previously, during my MSW program, I interned at the Boston Public Health Commission within their Men's and Women's recovery services, facilitating outpatient individual and group therapy sessions for adults in recovery from substance use. Before that, I interned at Daniel Driscoll Neponset Health Center as a case manager, where I met with a variety of clients whose biopsychosocial needs could not be met by traditional healthcare alone. My professional interests include substance use recovery services, reproductive health and rights, environmental justice, and LGBT+ informed care. I am passionate about many fields of social work, such as substance use disorder, reproductive health and justice, and the unique needs of immigrant/refugee populations. I also have a background in public health, and I incorporate this knowledge into my daily practice. I value and practice within a liberation-oriented framework.
