Screen PrinterThe Painted Word Jun 2011 - Aug 2013I worked at The Painted Word/Chick Lingo during summers and Christmas breaks while I was in college. I worked in most aspects of production and shipping at one point or another, sometimes all in one week. The wood for our signs and frames came in with the base color already painted, so I cleaned and organized the wood for storage and to prep it for printing. I also did the silk screen printing, which involved using the ink, printer, heated dryer, and keeping track of the weekly list of orders. I also did the custom orders, which involved creating custom artwork and a custom screen or vinyl stencil. In addition, I did maintenance on the silk screens.
