National Star is a disability charity that offers specialist education and long-term living opportunities for young people with complex disabilities. With more than 1,300 employees, the charity offers full and part-time, residential and day courses for around 200 students aged between 16 – 25 years old and runs long-term living provisions in Malvern, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Hereford. In my part-time role as Chief People Officer, my main focus is to continuously develop the best strategy to ensure we attract, develop, and retain the best talent to deliver an exceptional service to the people we support so that they achieve their aspirations to live as independent adults in control of their own lives.Alongside this role, I continue to provide people strategy consultancy on a project basis to additional organisations.
