Retired, experience of portfolio working within the charity sector, community support (employability training), schools, carer, gardening, and libraries. A trained educator, librarian, speaker, and manager with a reputation for thinking beyond the book, linking with other teams, and generating ideas. Substantial experience of working in schools, colleges, public libraries and local council providing services and support at all levels from pre-school to professional. Key skills include:* Able to use information handling tools from paper to online and computer-based programmes. Delivery of research and information provision in college and public library context.* Experienced and qualified trainer able to give confident presentations particularly in information, reading development, and IT basic skills. Have worked 1:1 helping students with learning disabilities.* Initiate and nurture small groups including working in partnership with other organisations, eg. Walk 4 Health, Cooks Corner, Garden Club, Small Business Start-Up group.* Production and use of a range of media for marketing purposes. eg. posters, flyers, brochure production, e-bulletins, and social media.Not actively looking for work as keeping very busy but happy to add variety to my portfolio of work, short or long term, home or work-based near Toddington, Beds.
