My name is Rachel Horton Cain, and transformation comes natural for me.In fact, I thrive on transformation and have led multiple digital and creative transformations throughout my career. But the most important element of any project, job or effort is the community behind it. That's what makes work actually work. I've found this to be immensely important to keep in mind when leading any group or transformation. As a leader, I am passionate about empowering people to do their best work and help them achieve career fulfillment, to listen intently and – most of all – to lead by example.Transformation at every stage in my career can be traced across a broad communications spectrum that includes journalism, entrepreneurial start-ups, digital initiatives, and overhaul of a full web portfolio. A snapshot includes:• Rose from reporter to editor for a regional business magazine that evolved from print-only to a hybrid model, where I led a community editorial board and young professional group.• Facilitated the founding and growth in the Tri-Cities, TN region, with several entrepreneurs, of a 501c3 that was transformational for the region and its efforts to incubate start-ups.• Managed marketing deliverables for a nine-hospital health system and launched its social media platforms, in addition to maintaining crisis communications.Currently in my Eastman career, I have been afforded many opportunities to lead with a 100-year, Fortune 500 company transforming to a leading material innovation company. Those opportunities comprise net-new digital initiatives including demand generation, implementations of digital tools, webinars at scale, multiple enterprise-level system integrations and a major overhaul to the full web portfolio in 2022.
