About Rachel Houghton

I'm an accredited Partnership Broker with extensive experience of building, stewarding and reviewing global networks, partnerships and consortia in the humanitarian, development and non-profit sectors. I'm passionate about the power of collaboration, and about working systemically within collaborations. I also train in partnership working, provide mentoring to those in partnership-related positions, and develop partnership and network resources. I have facilitated many of the networks I've worked with, as well as a number of single organisations, in co-creative, participatory strategy development processes. I provide advisory support on organisational and network development, including governance. And I've designed, managed, implemented and communicated the results from numerous multi-stakeholder learning reviews and evaluations. I'm also an accredited Leadership Coach (Senior Practitioner with the EMCC) with experience in leadership programme development and coaching, and I bring demonstrated ability to build, develop and lead diverse teams. I particularly enjoy working with, and supporting, teams, including SMTs and Boards. I am fascinated by the subject of leadership and constantly inquire into what it takes to be an effective leader. How can we equip those in leadership to tackle current and emerging systemic crises? How can we foster leadership that is collaborative, co-creative and connected?
