I was a public interest attorney in Manhattan with a predominately transactional practice (i.e. eminent domain relocations, limited-equity co-op law, HDFC Board governance issues, not-for-profit corp law, some trusts and estates law, public benefits law and many other non-litigation matters, esp matters related to housing). I also had a small administrative practice, which included client representation at government agency hearings (city, state, federal), and a special proceedings practice limited to Article 81 guardianship proceedings and Article 78 appeals of administrative agency decisions. Member of The Task Force on HDFCs (founded in 1977 as the Task Force on City-Owned Property), a coalition of not-for-profit housing groups, legal assistance organizations, HDFC shareholders and elected officials dedicated to preserving the affordability of Housing Development Fund Corporation (HDFC) Cooperatives in New York City using primarily regulatory and legislative tools.
