As the author of a book called 'Dementia and the family' - containing over 160 intergenerational, dementia-friendly activities, as well as practical advice and guidance on supporting a loved one living with dementia - I am regularly asked to speak and deliver training for families, informal carers and professional carers.

Co-Director of an independent publishing company, producing books that go beyond words. Titles spanned from family learning and financial literacy to bereavement and dementia. Many books were co-created in partnership with the community, making a difference to the authors and sharing their experiences to empower others through the written word. This included 'Five Lives' - a book about battling drug and alcohol addiction, self-harming and homelessness, developed with five women from a hostel in Exeter - and 'Lives Worth Living' - written by parents and siblings of children born with life-limiting conditions; the proceeds of which went to Children's Hospice South West.
