Counsels HR Managers and Operational Managers concerning human resource policies and procedures. Oversees the payroll functions for both hourly and salaried employees. Responsible for recruiting salaried vacancies. Investigates employee relations issues and implements the appropriate corrective actions.

Responsible for managing the HR functions for two automotive parts distribution facilities in Memphis, TN and Senatobia, MS. Developed and implemented policies, programs, and procedures to foster understanding of and improvement in management, supervisory, and/or employee relations. Supervised staff directly and planned, assigned, reviewed assignments, counseled staff, evaluated job performance, and approved or recommended actions. Responsible for recruiting both salaried and hourly positions. Counseled employees concerning HR policies and procedures; reviewed and resolved issues. Organized safety-related training schedules to ensure federal and state governmental requirements. Managed performance appraisals, corrective actions, incident investigations, and employee morale programs for multiple locations. (Originally, hired as an HR Supervisor in August 2008; however as job functions expanded, the job title and salary changed in February of 2010.)

Served as the human resource contact primarily for the oxide division and also supported the HR function for all U.S. Zinc salaried employees. Responsible for recruiting hourly and salaried employees, conducting new hire orientations, maintaining employee files, entering data into the HRIS, and overseeing employee relations. Successfully represented the employer in unemployment appeal hearings with a 100% success rate. In coordination with the HR Manager, counseled supervisors and management, assisted in training initiatives, and processed salaried payroll. Maintained required data for EEOC/AAP reporting requirements.

Performed environmental inspections on pre-1978 construction buildings on Fort Campbell, KY. Upon completion of inspection, a report was generated and findings were communicated to various levels of civilian and governmental managers.
