I am an Interdisciplinary Education doctoral candidate at the University of South Florida, bringing together Higher Education Administration, Philosophy, and Compassion Studies. My work and research aim to compassionately disrupt neoliberalism in higher education/student affairs professional practice, decision-making, and organizational systems. I have published and presented on illuminating neoliberal norms that shape Student Affairs and higher education, and conduct ongoing critical pragmatist and poststructural research for transformation of higher education. My research and practice are shaping my future as a scholar and professor, with a focus on higher education philosophies, innovative methodologies, and investigating transformative approaches for the higher education/student affairs workplace. My research and professional practice are mutually informative, and formative, as I have been a Student Affairs professional for the past 16 years, serving as a career counselor for 9 years at the University of Tampa, and previously at the University of Colorado-Boulder. My current university service includes chairing the UTampa Student Affairs Professional Development Committee to support staff learning and development and career sustainability, amplifying the vital role of Student Affairs in university ecosystems.
