• Supervise and manage marketing and event staff• Assist in the implementation of marketing, advertising and communication initiatives at the Zoo• Manage the development of printed promotional and informational materials including Zoo maps, rack cards, electronic and print media, advertising and other collateral materials• Coordination and confirmation of monthly media appearances with media outlets and Zoo staff• Manage the production of communication pieces to Zoo members and the general public (e-news, emails, annual reports, etc.)• Secure media interviews (radio, TV, newspaper, etc.) to promote events or stories• Prepare press releases and coordinate press conferences• Responsible for managing the marketing and events team in planning, coordinating and executing large scale Zoo events.
