NREL's Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (IEC) serves private and public funding partners by leveraging the capabilities at NREL and other labs and activating and connecting our network of cleantech startups, investors, foundations, and industry partners. I currently serve two roles in the IEC: 1) Technical Project Manager for the Shell GameChanger Powered by NREL (GCxN). In this role, I work with startups specializing in grid of the future, energy storage, solar manufacturing, fast EV charging, and electrosynthesis technologies connecting them with valuable expertise and capabilities at NREL. 2) Managing Director for the West Gate lab-embedded entrepreneurship program (LEEP) at NREL sponsored by the DOE Advanced Manufacturing Office. West Gate supports promising innovators as they develop technology concepts into startups that are primed for growth. Selected innovators are equipped with funding, entrepreneurial training, and technical assistance to speed their commercialization efforts.In my prior years in the IEC, I've steered a variety of programs and initiatives including DOE's American-Made Solar Prize, Energy I-Corps and co-founded the LabStart initiative to discover, build, and launch the next generation of innovative startups from NREL and other DOE national labs.

At the DOE, I worked as a AAAS S&T Policy Fellow within the Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) on the Technology-to-Market team. In this role, I helped launch the American-Made Solar Prize and the umbrella platform for other American-Made Challenges Prize Programs sponsored by the DOE.
