I supported communications as F&HDC launched the new housing service in October 2020. This involved planning and executing comms for colleagues, councillors, council tenants and leaseholders, and other stakeholders - to ensure they were consistently informed about and engaged with the new service. Key communications vehicles included a regular housing briefing note, a tenant newsletter, and more.

I supported the Employee Communications Manager at P&O Ferries, a leading pan-European ferry operator, in driving internal communications across the business – I helped to make voices heard, achieve business goals, and connect and motivate through engaging content. My primary role was to execute the weekly employee e-newsletter, which included corporate updates, employee blogs, photos and videos. I also supported the Employee Communications and Engagement Manager in running employee surveys, roadshows and awards.

I was a Marketing Executive at Kreston Reeves, a top 25 accountancy firm in the UK for over 6 years. The firm helps dynamic organisations, private individuals and families with their business, tax and wealth needs.I supported the Marketing Manager and Partners in internal and external marketing communications.While undertaking this role I gained marketing experience within the professional services sector which has given me knowledge of both B2B and B2C markets. I also assisted in implementing marketing activities across the firms service lines, targeting a wide range of different sectors for all of Kreston Reeves’ offices. My role included: event coordination including seminars, conferences, hospitality, exhibitions events, copywriting, design, advertising, and public relations.

Duties included maintaining the shop-floor and stock levels, till work, giving/taking stock orders over the phone, banking the store’s takings, processing internet orders/deliveries, cashing the tills at the start and the end of day, customer service, and advising customers with clothing, shoes and accessories within an independent boutique. I was a key holder and acting manager giving me high levels of responsibility, I enjoyed leading the team and the challenge of managing a busy shop floor when I took up this position. I also produced text for the company’s website and this involved creating detailed clothing/footwear descriptions, suggesting outfit combinations in relation to current trends, and constructing and conveying the brand message to create impact.

I was employed within three Boots branches and worked part-time throughout my A-level and University studies. Duties included fast-paced customer service, stock-handling, cashier work, and operating photo-machinery.Working within the Beauty Team I advised customers with the self-selection make-up products, advertised new arrivals, and re-merchandised the entire self-selection make-up section of the store.Working within the Christmas Team I adopted a tutorial role as newer members of the team were employed, I fronted seasonal sales campaigns each week which involved advertising a selected product and approaching customers with enthusiasm and a strong sales pitch with the aim of achieving sales targets.I worked successfully as part of a team in each role, and developed my people skills when dealing with customers.
